Tuscarora Crape Myrtle in Flower
beside the North Walk in June

The crape myrtle flowers in the
photograph were still weighted
down by water from a rainstorm
that had occurred earlier. A small
Chinese fan palm can be seen at
the end of the grassy strip on the
right. A sweet viburnum bush is
in the right foreground.

Another view of the North Walk at an earlier time before the larkspurs were cut down is included in the May 1997 issue.
