February 1998 - Michelia
The first opening of a flower on a
potted plant (Michelia Skinneriana )
that we bought a couple of years ago
occurred on February 20.
We have kept the plant outside in a
part-shade location except during
freezing conditions.
The flower is approximately one inch
in diameter and has a pleasant
banana-like scent.
